Elopement Dinner in Barcelona

Planning your elopement is a lot of fun. Once your finished planning the preparations and the ceremony, a common question is what you should plan for the evening. Regardless if you are eloping alone with your parter, or if you have a handfull of guests joining you, chances are that you will be on the lookout for a nice restaurant where you can end the evening with good food and wine.

In this post I will give you a few of my favorite restaurants in Barcelona that I can really recommend for couples. They also work for reduced groups. These restaurants are all on the smaller size, and therefore you really have to book a table at least a few weeks in advance.

Etapes

This is a modern restaurant located in the heart of the Eixample district on Plaza Letamendi. They are known for their remarkable cuisine with an excellent value for money. The cuisine focuses on Mediterranean food as a base with a modern and creative touch. Here you can enjoy various tasting menus and they have over 500 different wines, most of them local. Address: Carrer d’Enric Granados, 10

Osmosis

This small restaurant is also located in the Eixample district, outside of the tourist area. They offer tasting menus which are renewed every two weeks and their cuisines can be described as seasonal and creative, with the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. They also have an excellent wine list with both traditional and new wines. I once had an incredible eel there, I’m still dreaming about it sometimes! The decor of the restaurant is minimal and elegant, but they have this cozy bodega/library upstairs. Address: Carrer d’Aribau, 100

Petit Comite

Petit Comité is a small and elegant restaurant located on a small passage between Rambla Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. In the hands of chef Carles Gaig, they offer a modern cuisine and this is the best place if you want to discover the Catalan kitchen in an innovated way. Address: Passatge de la Concepció, 13

Racó d’en Cesc

Racó d’en Cesc, literally meaning ‘Cesc’s corner’ opened up in 1986 and is a great alternative for romantic dinners. The tables are quite separated which offers you a bit more privacy and the decoration and the ambience is great for intimate dinners. Their food can be described as Catalan innovative and they offer a great selection of wines and beers. Address: Carrer de la Diputació, 201

ABaC Restaurant

If you are looking for a dinner experience, then this is it. Run by the famous Spanish chef Jordi Cruz, this is the place to go if you want something different. Elegant and exclusive atmosphere. I suggest that you skip a meal before you go there. I had their 16 dish lunch tasting menu and was literally rolling out. But it was of course worth it! It’s necessary to book quite a long time in advance, they sometimes have waiting list for months. Also be prepared that this dinner will take much longer than a regular dinner. Avenida del Tibidabo, 1
